Two important Writers Die

We will miss Howard Zinn, who wrote A People's History of the United States: 1492-Present. It was a true work of art and a refreshing change from the usual clap trap that passes for a history lesson. I have known high school teachers to use this book in their classroom. It did compile efforts by working class people to better them selves.
J. D. Salinger wrote The Catcher in the Rye, which I was forced to read in high school, but don’t regret it. It was a great read.
