Dennis Rodman in the DPRK (North Korea)

Some in the news media just can’t resist cold-war propaganda!

While most of the US news media just printed or presented the facts on Dennis Rodman’s trip to Democratic People’s Republic of (North) Korea, ABC was among those who had to remind its readers of the US propaganda line against the country.

Once again we see the blatant hypocrisy of US news personalities that complain that Kim Jong-Un is a dictator and violates human rights, while ignoring all the dictatorships the US supports, such as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. It is ridiculous that some people have to tow the US party line on DPR(North) Korea instead of just reporting what happened.

The phoney concern for human rights is reserved only for those on our governments “hit list” or “axis of evil” not such folks as the Free Syrian Army which plans a dictatorship of its own.

The phoney concern for human rights is reserved only for those on our governments “hit list” or “axis of evil.” Besides that, the US has its own political prisoners and it now has more people incarcerated in its prisons than any other country in the world. Is that really the sign of a “free country?”

The other main news stations simply ran the story as it is, with Rodman telling them he is not a politician, according to CNN;

Rodman, whose nickname is "Worm," tweeted that he was "honored to represent The United States of America."
"I'm not a politician. Kim Jung Un & North Korean people are basketball fans. I love everyone. Period. End of story," he tweeted.
