Bourgeois fears arise that Universities are luring students to communism

More than likely this article is intended as a warning to right-wingers everywhere that bad things might happen in the near future, like the return of communism and/or communist countries. It is hard to take this article too serious. Many of us have been working our entire lives (or most of it, as in the case of me). So is this good news for the actual communists who are still living and working in this world? It is hard to say. Communism isn't the hot button issue it was when I was a child in the 1960s. During the '60s my schools used to lay on the anti-communism propaganda real heavy. Today it is not as bad as it used to be. However we are not that close to a consensus that communism was actually good for the world. So we have a long way to go before we have a communist revolution in the US. But it could be a lot worse, as this article warns us. – សតិវ អតុ

A leading historian has warned that universities are turning young people to communism after Marxist student Fiona Lali told the BBC that communism only failed because it was "not allowed to develop."
Lali, who is President of the Marxist Society at the School of the Oriental and African Studies has been criticised for excusing the crimes of the Soviet Union on the grounds of external interference.
"In the Soviet Union, for example, you can’t say that it was allowed to develop or flourish in the way that it could have done because the US, the British, they were all involved in attacking it," she told Radio 4.
"There’s a lot of advantages, there’s a lot of gains from the Soviet Union."
