India- Young people are knitting an army

By Harsh Thakor
SALUTE NAUJWAN BHARAT SABHA FOR STAGING THEIR 1ST SAMMELAN (conference) IN ALLAHABAD IN UTTAR PRADESH.AN EVENT OF IMMENSE QUALITATIVE SIGNIFICANCE IN RAISNG THE POLITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS OF YOUTH AGAINST FASCIST CURRENTS. MOST INSPIRING RALLY WHICH SHIMMERED THE FLAME OF BHAGAT SINGH AND HIS COMRADES TO EXTINGUISH THE FORCES OF DARKNESS.THEY RESEMBLE A SMALL BAND OF YOUTH KNITTING INTO AN ARMY.

VERY ENCOURAGING THAT NBS IS SERIOUSLY WORKING TOWARDS BUILDING A GENUINE CLASS MASS ORGANIZATION AND GIVING THEIR ORGANIZATION A PROPER FRAMEWORK, LIKE A SKELETON TO A BODY. THEIR CADRE ALL OVER THE STATE ARE CONSISTENTLY WORKING TO SPREAD THE WORD OF REVOLUTION. I WAS PRESENT IN TWO OF THEIR YATRAS IN OCTOBER 2015 AND MARCH 2016 AND GREATLY IMPRESSED WITH THE DEDICATION OF THE COMRADES. NO GROUP IN UTTAR PRADESH HAS REVEALED SO MUCH DETERMINATION

Yesterday on March 21st, Naujwan Bharat Sabha of Uttar Pradesh had their inaugural sammelan (conference) in Allahabad in Shram Hitkari kendra. It was inaugurated with the singing of Song of "International song of the youth." Around 50 delegates assembled from Allahabad, Ambedkarnagar, Mau, Gorakhpur and Benares. The 1st part constituted the delegates session with the report read out by state committee member Comrade Angadh. The work of all the constituents from different regions of the state was declared. A new state committee was elected.
Comrade Prasen presided the meeting. Shayamsunder, Lalchandra, Pratibha, Raju, Vikas, Mitrasen and Brisjesh were elected in the state committee. Workers leader Ajay Bharati, Alpa Narayan, Tapesh chaired the session. Great emphasis was placed on the ongoing fascism prevailing under the Modi regime. Comrade Shreta spoke about fascism and the work the youth had to initiate to combat it like taking up issues of unemployment and illiteracy. The speakers called for resurrecting the struggle earlier waged by Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

In the 2nd session which was open with revolutionary songs like "Now war is imminent," 'Wake up youth." Issue of unemployment was discussed in detail. A play was performed on this theme. The meeting was concluded by comrades O.D.Singh and Tapesh. A very good debate took place on how to tackle fascism and it's nature in India. Healthy participation from intellectual sections.

After the conclusion of sammelan a rally was held from the venue of meeting at Hitendra Nagar, to Azad park. Even if quantitatively small, constituting about 50 youth, it touched the heart of any revolutionary sympathiser at the core creating the vibrations of a festival of the masses.

The qualitative impact and success was a tribute to the painstaking work of comrades of the Naujwan Bharat Sabha in recent years who invested indispensable energy in holding campaigns all over the state in shimmering the torch of Bhagat Singh and his comrades to extinguish the forces of darkness. I was privileged to be a part of 2 campaigns in 2016 and 2016 for a short while. Very positive that comrades have worked towards giving proper structure to the youth front with a programme. No youth front has contributed so much to the movement as this group in recent years. The event was a great boost to the revolutionary movement as a whole sowing the seeds for many a red rose to bloom.

The NBS decided to start a 6 month continuous programme on the issue of illiteracy and unemployment. from March 23rd which is the martyrdom day of shaheed bhagat singh to September 28th which is the birthday of the great comrade. Great that just after 1st sammelan the NBS comrades will launch a campaign rekindling the scared flame of Shaheed Bhagat Singh to combat the saffron fascism prevailing.

सम्मेलन की शुरुआत 'नौजवानों का अन्तरराष्ट्रीय गीत' गाकर की गयी.
