Most people probably know this new government
program as Obamacare. We rarely hear it called the Affordable Care Act. This is
partly due to the Republican propagandists who have repeatedly called the act
Obamacare. They and their pundits have also blathered on about their hate of Prez.
Barack Obama, accusing him of being a “socialist, communist, liberal and “the
most radical” “left-wing president we ever had.”
He is none of those things. He is about as centrist as
Bill Clinton was and neither can seriously be called “liberal” much less any
kind of communist or socialist. Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson; Franklin D.
Roosevelt even the Republican Theodore Roosevelt were far more liberal than
Obama is.
It is no wonder with their talent for propaganda,
spin and their huge egos, that the Republicans believe they can win the standoff
with their healthcare reform derailment.
