How will President George Bush fair when history has evaluated his presidency? For some of us it has already been decided that he is one of the worst presidents in

“Mrs. Bush, Rice: Bush presidency not a failure

WASHINGTON – The two most influential women in President George W. Bush's White House — first lady Laura Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice — are strongly defending the president's legacy against critics who are calling his administration one of the worst in history.
"I know it's not, and so I don't really feel like I need to respond to people that view it that way," Mrs. Bush said in an interview that aired Sunday. "I think history will judge and we'll see later."
Rice took a similar view in a separate interview, saying that claims that the Bush administration has been one of the worst ever are "ridiculous."
"I think generations pretty soon are going to start to thank this president for what he's done. This generation will," Rice said.”

Let’s look at what he’s done. He was the governor of
Why was his candidacy taken seriously? He had amassed $millions in oil money to use for campaigning. Having the most money automatically makes a person a good candidate, according to most members of the mainstream media.
Once in office, he immediately started to look for an excuse to take over
He capitalized on the 9/11 attacks, first by invading and installing a puppet government in
He never got Osama Bin Laden (أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن), But he did start miles north of his hideout and moved
Within months of the invasion he stood on an aircraft carrier and announced that hostile action in
As with former President Richard Nixon, Bush has killed a lot of people and he has set up a situation where no
No amount of time can change all of this. If anything, Bush’s actions will show how bad he led, years later when we are still dealing with the aftermath of all of this.

Bush did commute a death sentnece whil governor.
Furthermore, juries or judges sentenced those Texas inmates to death and judges signed their death warranst prior to execution.
Bush was not a juror, a prosecutor or a judge for any of the death penalty cases.
You saying his career was based upon the death penalty has no rational support.
History will tell the tale, as it does for most.
First, Bush had the right to review or commute any death sentence in Texas. I missed the one he actually commuted. Still his record shows that one out of his entire term as governor, considering that Texas has one of the highest execution rate, is still pretty bad. It demonstrates that he paid little attention to those who may have been wrongly accused.
Second, if he did anything else for Texas, of any note worthiness, I sure never heard about it and considering his dismal handling of the economy I will bet that he didn’t.
Third, it doesn’t take a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. He ran the economy into the ground and got us in to two purely imperialist wars. That is enough damage and ineptness to insure that he will remain with the likes of Herbert Hover, as a really bad president. No historian can explain this away. He is admired only by the dolts and suckers who voted for him a second time.

You are unreasoned and unknowing.
The economic turmoil that we are, now, in, is the result of very poor laws and decisions by both parties, over the past 40-50 years.
During the first 7 years of Bush's administration, I am not sure he vetoed one economic bill, whether it was bipartisan, or leaning Democrat or Republican.
Correct me if I am wrong, please.
Look up the definition of imperialist. Find where such an intent is followed by insisting on democratic elections.
I know of no one that doubts the US would have left Iraq and Afghanistan, ASAP, has peace reigned.
Aout half the country voted for Bush the second time around. I have no doubt that you think you are smarter than all of them.
Let me answer each point:
“The economic turmoil that we are, now, in, is the result of very poor laws and decisions by both parties, over the past 40-50 years.”
The Republican Party has dominated congress and/or the executive branch (the presidency). Bush is just the last mishap of a party that was so intent on giving everything to the wealthy they could want (while feathering their own nests) they ran the economy into the ground. Bush is THEIR president!!! The spent close to a $billion to put him in office. Since he is a product of that Party, who else do we blame for the mess we are in? The Democrats have allowed their party to sink into a third party status, because they feared taking on the Republicans and what they stand for. You are right to blame them as they are spineless cowards.
“During the first 7 years of Bush's administration, I am not sure he vetoed one economic bill, whether it was bipartisan, or leaning Democrat or Republican.”
What does this prove other than the man has no ideas or convictions of his own?
“Correct me if I am wrong, please.

Elections have nothing to do with imperialism. Remember that Hitler was ELECTED chancellor. Did that make him a democrat?
Read Kwame Nkrumah on the use of elections in neo-colonialist Africa. Name one time when an opposition party or single opponent won an election under our guns and troops? When Salvador Allende was elected the legitimate president in Chile, the CIA overthrew him. That wasn’t the first time a CIA coup was used to oust an elected official. ELECTIONS DON’T MEAN SQUAT!!
“I know of no one that doubts the US would have left Iraq and Afghanistan, ASAP, has peace reigned.”
And by that you mean for them to kill off anyone that would get in the way of our imperialist agenda. Sure peace can always be found in a graveyard!
“About half the country voted for Bush the second time around. I have no doubt that you think you are smarter than all of them.”
I don’t pretend to know everyone’s thought process here, but anyone who took the time to seriously evaluate this man’s performance and still vote for him—they should have his/her head examined.
“You are unreasoned and unknowing.”
A real intelligent response (sarcasm if you didn’t already know).
I write this blog because I’m sick of hearing half wits try to explain to us why we need to fight imperialist wars and implant our democracy where it was never requested or why we have to have rich and greedy people run our lives for us. For those who are not rich, they need to educate themselves. For those who are educated and still hold these views, they are beyond help. They are idiots and they suffer from delusions. I’m sure I seem unreasonable to the lackeys of the ruling class

Look at reality.
the Democratic Party won back control in the elections of 1954, it was the majority party in both houses of Congress for most of the next 40 years;
the Republicans were only able to win control of the Senate for a six-year period (1981–87).
The Republicans won a majority position in both houses of Congress in the elections of 1994.
The Republicans controlled both houses until 2006, except the Senate for most of 2001 and 2002,
when the Democrats had the majority
In 2006, the Democratic Party regained control of the House of Representatives, and the results of the Senate elections yielded a Senate makeup of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats, and two independents.
In the 110th Congress (2007–08), the Democratic voting bloc has a 51-49 majority in the Senate because the two independents, Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut and Bernie Sanders of Vermont, align themselves with the Democratic Party.

I think you are blinded by some type of anti Republican mindset instead of looking at the true picture.
Both parties screwed us over a very long period of time.
My point about Bush not vetoeing any ills was that all of Congress, reps, dems and inde worked together
to pass all of th economic bills that we all lived under during the Bush administartion.
But, this storm has been brewing for 40-50 years because of the way the entire Congess acted. I don't care what party they belonged to. We are really in a mess and they helped put us there.
Of course, we elected them and kept reelecting them.
We will simply have to agree to disagree on the imperialist issue.
Thank you for allowing me to post on your log. It is appreciated.
Yes I do have a type of anti-Republican mindset. This is probably because I live in a state that refuses to elect anything but Republicans. So when we get stepped on, it is with Republican boots.
I agree the Democrats contributed to the mess we are in. But George Bush has done nothing to fix it and has just stayed the course.
I’m glad to have comments on my blog, even when I disagree. Thanks for posting.
