Despite horror stories against public health care, the Democrats won in the Senate

As mild as it is, Healthcare has passed in the senate.

According to Yahoo News:

WASHINGTON – In a triumph for President Barack Obama, Democrats narrowly pushed sweeping health care legislation through a key congressional committee Friday night and cleared the way for a September showdown in the House.
The 31-28 vote in the House Energy and Commerce Committee, along party lines, was weeks later than either the White House or Democratic leaders had hoped.
As part of a last-minute series of changes, the committee agreed to cap increases in the cost of insurance sold under the bill, and also to give the federal government authority to negotiate directly with drug companies for lower prices under Medicare.

This victory comes as conservatives are pulling out the big horror stories of public health care nightmares in and Canada and Europe. The latest example came from John Stossel of 20/20 has joined the conservative chorus of horror stories of long lines, months or years of waiting for operations, and lack of necessary drugs and equipment if the US goes to a public healthcare system. His examples are all taken from Canada and England. He ran such a segment last Friday night. He has run a major campaign against any public health care.

And he did such a piece. I find it hard to believe his story was accurate. In the above piece he uses anti-Castro activist to argue his point. Are they any less biased than relying on the Cuban government or the United Nations? Strossel will say anything to support the US insurance companies.
