I first read Manning Marable in the now defunct Guardian. I wrote a lot of articles on Africa . He has also written expensively on race history and race relationships. When it came to writing, Marable was one of the people who inspired me to write on foreign affairs. I once saw him on nightline.
His recent death leaves us without one more needed voice in this country.
