Here are the Kansas legislators who are members of ALEC

For those unfamiliar with the organization the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), it is a super pact that integrates businesses with actual legislators to promote a pro-business-anti-worker political agenda. As I wrote in both the Examiner and Otto’s War Room;

Besides being a conservative group, ALEC goes way beyond jut lobbying. Legislators literally belong to ALEC and support its goals. Legislators and corporations join the group to jointly decide what issues to vote for and what bills to pass. Almost all of ALEC funding comes from corporate donors. They have task forces that turn out model bills to run through their houses or congresses. The organization has a chapter in most states.
According to ALEC Exposed:

“Participating legislators, overwhelmingly conservative Republicans, then bring those proposals home and introduce them in statehouses across the land as their own brilliant ideas and important public policy innovations—without disclosing that corporations crafted and voted on the bills.”

For those who are interested in knowing which of our Kansas legislators are members of ALEC, Occupy Wichita has compiled a list and here it is. Occupy 316 tells what role the congress people play in the ALEC organization;

House of Representatives

Senate

$Rep. Brenda Landwehr (R-91)$
$Kansas State Senator Susan Wagle (R-Wichita) $

Your information is not reliable. On your list, some that you tagged have retired, quit, moved on, or died. Some have changed parties. If you want to expose something, at least have fresh info. Frankly, who cares about this? You clearly don't know much about this supposed evil organization.

This is an organization dedicated to buying our elected leaders for their the selfish interests of corporate leaders. These people are buying up our government and that makes our votes completely useless. Why vote when all we are doing is condoning someone's hidden agenda. We are deciding nothing about our own future.
