Smaller South Asian Maoist parties becoming more active

Those of us who keep up on the activities of Maoist parties in South Asia are familiar with the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist, the Communist Party of the Philippines and Communist Party of India (Maoist). They are active parties with a lot of members in relatively large countries. But there have been increases in activity by some of the smaller parties, active in smaller areas of that part of the world.
One such party is the Maoist Communist Party Manipur. Manipur is a state in northeastern India, with the city of Imphal as its capital. The Maoist there treats the state as an independent country that is being occupied by India. The Maoist party there has been active in that state and has caught the attention of the Mainstream press.
