New clinic (abortion services) is opening in Oklahoma, USA

I have known Julie A. Burkhart, Founder and CEO of Trust Women, since before the 1990s. I knew she was determined to get a women's clinic opened here in Wichita, but I had NO IDEA she was trying to get one opened in Oklahoma. So hearing this news I am overwhelmed. Good luck Julie Burkhart! I can't wait to visit this clinic and see it soon. The anti-abortion activists have worked day and night to stop Julie from opening in Wichita and I had no idea she was working to open one in Oklahoma. -SJ Otto

From Julie Burkhart, Founder and CEO of Trust Women:

YOU DID IT! The newest abortion clinic in Oklahoma is opening Sept. 10.
Ring the bells! Pop the champagne! Take a moment to celebrate what you've made possible.
This second clinic is an act of love two-and-a-half years in the making. When our doors open in Oklahoma City, we will welcome patients to the first new abortion clinic to open in the Sooner State since 1974.
I can't thank you enough. Thanks to your tireless dedication, women in Oklahoma, Texas and even Arkansas will be able to access abortion care much more easily. Please consider a contribution today to celebrate abortion care in what was the largest city without access. Your contribution will make sure no one is ever turned away based on ability to pay.
Let's build on this momentum! Click here and show you won't back down.
Here's to you!

Want to check this place out? Come to our open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 at 1240 S.W. 44th St. on the southeast corner of 44th and Blackwelder. Interested in coming? Just send us a note and let us know!
Have a great holiday weekend,

Julie A. Burkhart
Founder and CEO
Trust Women

Abortion is a terrible crime, a murder of the unborn.
Women cannot possibly be proud of their abortions.

No. Women don't celebrate having abortions. They have abortions because there is a lack of health care in the US. Or they may have a lack of day care or decent employment for which to take care of their child. Sometimes the woman just doesn't want the child and this blog defends that right.
If conservatives want fewer abortions, they need to set up the mechanism, or the social services, that would make having children financially easier. And really....with overpopulation it is not wise to bring too many children into the world.
