Imperialism is not heroic—killed by an Afghanistan soldier

By សតិវអតុ

He is being hailed as a hero—the Utah Mayor Brent Taylor who was killed in Afghanistan, on Saturday. The reality is he was killed while meddling in the affairs of a foreign country, on behalf of US imperialism. So what was he doing there and why was he there at all? That question is not being asked. He had seven kids. So for the responsibility of such a big family he was in another country practicing adventurism. How valuable was his own family that he wanted to be in a foreign country, on behalf of US imperialism, to play god with someone else’s sovereignty.
The US has no business being in Afghanistan. The US conquered a foreign government and it is trying to create a puppet regime—a country that acts as a model of what the US wants to plant all over the Middle East and now Africa, in such places as Yemen.
It is not heroic to conquer someone else’s country and to steal that nation’s resources and sovereignty. He was not defending this country, he was conquering and there is a difference. He is not a hero.
