May Day was celebrated in Wichita by Democratic Socialists of
America (DSA). They had a barbeque and get together to honor the First of May,
International Workers Day (for more information on May 1 and its significance,
see The
Brief Origins of May Day—From IWW), here in Wichita Kansas. This group was the only group in Wichita to put on a May Day event. This day is too important to just ignore, so even though this site generally does not support or cover democratic socialist, I did attend this event. -Steve Otto
