According to The Wichita Eagle, Dec. 15, 2005, in an editorial called “EDITORIAL: IRAQI VOTE A MAJOR STEP TOWARD DEMOCRACY,” once again the subjects of imperialist Iraq are asked to cast ballots to elect a puppet parliament. This is supposed to be a “great step forward” for Iraq’s new democracy. Of course, here at home one political party runs every branch of government and our president has stolen two elections.
It can only be hoped that Iraqis will get more out of elections that those who created them, here in the U.S.
Here in America, the voters have been bamboozled. Most of us know better than to believe the Iraqis will do any better.
Bush needed a distraction away from all the disasters he can’t control, including the war.
