When your polls slip to a record low a people begin to talk as if you may go down in history as
America’s worst president, then you need something to boost moral.
When you’re President George Bush that’s not easy.
But there is one thing that Bush has always been good at…. Randomly killing people. As governor of Texas he constantly executed people, both innocent and guilty. He set up a concentration camp, in Gunantanamo, where inmates have killed themselves from the harsh conditions. So George can send a man to he death without blinking an eye.
So Bush is celebrating the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's, the alleged al- Qaeda leader in Iraq. When Bush found his whereabouts, he acted as judge, jury and executioner. There’s no way of knowing whether the other people with him were actual terrorists or simply family or friends. But to a man as Bush that is irrelevant. The occupation of Iraq has been a pure act of imperialist barbarism from the beginning. This is not likely to end the violence since al-Zarqawi was only one of several factions opposing the occupation. It may buy Bush some time, but it’s not likely to give him the dramatic change he needs to justify an illegal and barbaric war.
