When will we actually see a rise in income may be some time off. So far the median household income in SedgwickCounty fell 2.8 percent between 2007 and 2010 according to The Wichita Eagle.
Kansans having to live in poverty rose from 13 to 15.3
The poverty number of School age children rose from 2.1 percent to 2.2 percent or 66,873 people.
A lot of middle class people who believe they aren’t affect by childhood poverty actually believe what the Republicans are saying, “that those in poverty have chosen to live that way.” But, despite the propaganda, the reality is quite different.
The Census Bureau to school-age children showed a significant increase—Maybe 20 percent.
So when the Republicans took over, and they control every political institution in Kansas, why are things getting worse, when they all promised everything would get better.
It is the holiday season and it seems as if Ebenezer Scrooge has won control of the town. Childhood poverty has increased and people with children living below the poverty rate have increased.
The big question now is….after those three ghosts—what would scrooge do?
