This weekend when
people rush out to the large recreation lakes to drive fast boats and get drunk
on beer, they probably won’t think of all the benefits they enjoy because of
the union fights in Chicago, at the turn of the last century, that gave us an
eight hour work day and five day work week—except for overtime—and even with
that it still isn’t as bad as it was about the turn of the century. -សតិវ អតុ
