While NO ONE in the government made any effort to morn the victims
of police murder...now all public officials are claiming we should all morn the
two cops where were shot in New York City. "They are a part of all of
us," one official said. But they are not. We are the citizens and they are
the police. We don't pay them and we don't supervise them.

From the Kasama Project:
The Trayvon Martin Organizing
Committee (TMOC) has been doing important and courageous work around the
country in the past few weeks uniting with the people in a wave of resistance
against the heinous disregard that the U.S. has shown for the lives of Black
people by refusing to indict two pig murderers, one in Ferguson and one in New
York. Particularly TMOC has worked hard to raise the level of struggle. In
NYC, some supporters of the TMOC-NYC are facing potentially serious
criminal charges for standing up to the killers of Eric Garner and correctly
tying the murders of Garner and Mike Brown to the blood soaked capitalist system.
The following is a statement of
the Trayvon Martin Organizing Committee NYC and a call to support the bail fund
for their comrades. This is not an endorsement of the views of the TMOC, though
it is an act of solidarity. These sisters and brothers belong on the streets
and not in prison. - Nat Winn, ISH
