PERU: Guerrilla ambush leaves four policemen dead in Vraem

Press reports on an ambush, attributed to the communist guerrillas operating in the VRAEM area, in which four police officers were killed.

The attack on two police vehicles occurred on the Tucuccasa - Huachuapampa highway, in Huancavelica, about 6 pm a few days ago.

A large fire of the automatic weapons of the guerrillas caused the fire and destruction of the all-terrain vehicles and their occupants. Although there is confusion about the events it seems that the attackers captured the armament of the dead agents.
