Protesting Operation Green Hunt and state repression all over India

By Harsh Thakor
CONGRAGULATE BHAGAT SINGH MORCHA FOR STAGING A PROTEST AGAINST OPERATION GREEN HUNT AND MASSACRE OF TRIBALS IN GADRICHOLI INSPITE OF FASCIST SITUATION PREVAILING IN BHU CAMPUS

Salute this small but highly qualitative protest organised by Bhagat Singh Chatra Morcha with 3 other organizations in BHU campus which is the hotbed of Hindu communal Fascism. It vehemently raised slogans condemning the massacre of 40 Adivasis in Gadricholi, Operation Green Hunt and overall state repression on Adivasis, all over India, like Jharkhand. All the speakers explained that by such an attack they are not attacking only Maoists but the entire oppressed masses of India and explained how in practice the socio-economic condition of Adivasis prevailing and the government attitude towards them was terrorism in itself. They elaborated the tyranny of the corporates over Adivasi people under the globalisation dictates. Student front Bhagat Singh Chatra Morcha organizing this is an inspiration to the students all over the nation and their message should spread like wildfire to combat the false propaganda of the pro-corporate media. Significantly it was held on May day.

Four groups namely the Bhagat Singh Chatra Morcha, the All India Students Association, Students for Change, Bhagat Singh Ambedkar Thought Front, Bhartiya Samta Parivar participated in the rally and meeting. Significant speeches were made by professors Chauthiram Yadav and Balraj Pandey highlighting the ground reality of the situation in India. One representative spoke from every organization. Azad, Aarti, Vishwanath, priyanshu, shashrut and Vinay represented the BCM, Anand and Vivek spoke from AISA, Sunil Kashyap, Amrendra Pratap from BSP and Sunil Yadav from Bhagat Singh-Ambedkar Manch and Swati from Students for Change.

Even if not more than 50 persons it inspired the public. We must salute the organizers, principally the Bhagat Singh Chatra Morcha or withstanding the tide of communal fascism prevailing an successfully staging this programme. It proves the potential of the students to combat the wave of fascist repression particularly of the Hindu variety.
