Single in Wichita? All the mayor can say is “too bad”

Once again, The Wichita Eagle, Oct. 16, 2005, reports:
”Mayor wishes city could get porn stores out of town”

”The city of Wichita, led by Mayor Carlos Mayans and a group of residents who say they are sick of smut, has yet again declared war on porn shops.” – The report continues.
Perhaps the mayor should notice that Wichita already has a bad reputation as a place singles people don’t want to move to.

So what is the mayor, and these moralists for community standards want? Should only married people with children move here? Is there message for single adults to stay out of Wichita? Are they just not welcome here? We may end up running off some talented people here in this city and the mayor and his supporters misguided attempts at shutting down adult entertainment will only contribute to that.
