and Naujwan Bharat Sabha Punjab staged their 2nd conference after the one in
Sangrur commemorating the centenary of Jallinawallah Bagh massacre in Moga
yesterday. Cultural programmes and plays were staged. It was addressed by
Sukhjeet, district secretary of PRSUJ Agseer Namol, President of NBS Punjab, Manjeet
Namol, Rakesh Kumar,Kiran Kaur ,Sanjeev Mintu .Although only around 350 persons
attended it struck a chord to the opressed masses. The speakers narrated that
the independence of 1947 was only superficial and morally it was a transfer of
power. They reflected on the 1984 Sikh riots, Babri Masjid demolition and Godra
Riots and how the state was basically anti-minority and proto-fascist. They
also condemned the framing of thousands of democratic activists from all walks
of life and narrated how a genuine revolutionary democratic movement is today
taking place in India
to combat the rotten ‘democracy.'
3 resolutions were passed
1. To scrap the latest judgment passed by the supreme court denying rights to 75000 tribals and support their displacement.
2. To build a Shaheed Bhagat Singh library in Nachatar.in the town hall memorial museum.
3. To release all political prisoners like oppressed minorities,framed revolutionary democrats Maoists, etc.
