India-Protest held in Delhi against fascist witch hunt that led to the arrests of seven revolutionary democrats accused of being Maoists

SALUTE PROTEST IN DELHI OF GREAT QUALITATIVE SIGNIFICANCE YESTERDAY TO EXTINGUISH THE DARK FORCES OF FASCISM. EXACTLY 1 YEAR AFTER THE WITCH HUNT OF THE STATE WHERE 7 REVOLUTIONARY DEMOCRATS IN THE NAME OF URBAN MAOISTS WERE ARRESTED MARKING A NEW EPOCH OR WRITING ANEW CHAPTER IN THE ASCENDANCY OF FASCISM.GREAT THAT FORCES ASSEMBLED FROM ALL OVER THE NATION FROM REGIONS OF PUNJAB—WEST BENGAL AND JHARKHAND TO TELENGANA. JANTA MANTAR ARAE IN THE CAPITAL OF DELHI WAS LITERALLY LIT BY THE SPARK OF RESISTANCE.THE ARREST OF URBAN MAOISTS OPENED THE DOORS FOR AN AUTOCRATIC SYSTEM TO TURN FASCIST.

Yesterday the Capital of Delhi, in Jantar Mantar, was lit by a spark that could well turn into a prairie fire to extinguish the monster of neo-fascism. Speakers meticulously reflected how an autocratic state is fast turning fascist giving emphasis to how Hindutva fascism was penetrating all spheres of life .They virtually covered all the sections of people and issues in light of fascist onslaught. What was most encouraging is that the event encompassed people from regions all over India and spokesman and people represented many different trends within the democratic revolutionary camp. Such gatherings ate the last bastion to state to completely turn Hindu fascist or to confront the trend of neo-fascism from emerging. Significant that it was not only intellectuals but sections of the workers and peasantry that participated. It provided the organized potential of the Indian people to challenge the tyranny of fascism. Unity of revolutionary forces and of intellectuals with the workers and peasantry was very noteworthy. Very significant towards the building of United front to challenge Fascist threat.
