Youth and Students today celebrated 41st martyrdom day of student leader Parthipal Singh Randhawa in Punjab

From Harsh Thakor
Youth and Students organizations of Punjab, #Punjab_Students_Union_ (shaheed_Randhawa) and #Naujwan_Bharat_Ssbtoday celebrated 41st martyrdom day of student leader Parthipal Singh Randhawa in Punjab ha at 7 different places.
#Pirthipal_singh_Randhawa was kidnapped from his home in Ludhiana by Akali goons in 1979. They #tortured and #killed him and threw his dead body near village - JHANDE.(Ludhiana)
A #gold medalist of Punjab Agricultural #University and state General Secretary of Punjab Students Union, Pirthipal Singh Randhawa organized and unified Punjab's stagnated student movement in 1970s. He was the leader of glorious #Moga_Agitation in 1972. In his leadership students of Punjab won the #Bus pass facility for the first time in Punjab. PSU under his leadership opposed #Emergency bravely in 1975 and Pirthipal Randhawa beard severe torture during his arrest in emergency. After the revocation of emergency when #jp_movement was on the rise In India and many student organisations of India had became tail of that movement, PSU organised #Sangram_Rally in Moga and demonstrated that #JPmovement# is just a gimmick of ruling classes and the real emancipation of toiling people is possible only through the #revolutionary path of #Shaheed #BhagatSingh.
In his leadership student movement of Punjab became an active supporter and inspiring force of all popular struggles in Punjab. Parthipal, from a student leader then, emerged as a brave and wise leader of masses. His popularity and inspiring figure was a challenge to the rulers of Punjab and they got him killed in 1979. People and students of Punjab came on the roads in large numbers after his murder. Famous playwright Gursharan Singh declared that it was the second biggest political murder in the history of Punjab after the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Though the rulers were successful to snatch him physically from the people, However his sacrifice and glory will remain always an inspiration for the students and youth of Punjab to walk on the revolutionary path of people's emancipation from exploitation and repression and to create a world of equality and prosperity.
Celebrating his martyrdom day today the #Organisations #raised their #voice against the communalism and religious hatred of ruling BJP and at the same time repressive policies of Punjab's Congress govt. The leaders said that ruling classes are using Covid-19 pandemic to crush the voice of dissent and it is throwing all the people into the jails who criticize the ruling govt. At the same time under the veil of pandemic measures they have been implementing the anti-people economic policies and forwarding the agenda of #privatization, #liberalization and #globalization.
They called upon to the youth to come forward to #resist the economic policies of ruling govt. and fascist agenda of Sangh Pariwar.
