The conflicts between the
imperialists, which lead humanity to destruction, intensify and the war against
Ukraine
begins. Russia and the United States
have said they will not stop there. The Central Committee of our party
calls on all who wish for the welfare of the world to make their voices heard
and stop the war.
We call on all oppressed
sectors, people and democrats of the country to demand that the Government of
India take all possible measures so that the Indians who are in Ukraine
return safely.
Russia
has recognized Donetsk and Luhansk, in the
eastern part of Ukraine,
as independent governments and has decided to send troops to the area, exposing
the political, geographical and economic conflict between the
imperialists. Russian forces are not only infiltrating the eastern
regions, but also attacking Ukraine
from all directions and attacking the capital, kyiv. This is the first war
in Europe since the end of the Cold
War. These events have plunged the population of Europe, mainly that of Ukraine,
into a state of extreme uncertainty. Stock markets around the world
crashed. More than 20,000 Indians in Ukraine have been left homeless and
worried.
The price of oil rose to $110 a
barrel. It is expected to cross $150 in a few more days. This crisis
is likely to hurt our country's economy. Along with the prices of gasoline
and diesel, those of sunflower oil, wheat, aluminum and metals may also rise.
When the Soviet Union disintegrated
in 1991, the United States
immediately broke its promise to Russia and began expanding
NATO. The alliance, made up of 12 countries, has expanded to 30. After the
Poland of the Warsaw Pact, Romania, the Czech
Republic and Hungary were annexed. It later
included Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania five years
later. These countries are all neighbors of Russia. Then, in 2008, the United States announced that Georgia and Ukraine would join NATO. If Ukraine joined NATO, the alliance would be 500
kilometers closer to Moscow. The
deployment of US missiles in Ukraine
was very dangerous for Russia
as it affected its dominance over the Black Sea. The
United States
continues to train and arm Ukrainian troops using NATO forces.
Russia has committed some acts of
aggression to maintain its dominance over these regions. Putin sent troops
to take control of Georgia
in 2008 during infighting. He provided military support to separatists on
the Ukrainian island of Crimea and made it part of Russia. Russia has also intervened in Belarus and the Caucasus
and is increasing its influence in Asian countries.
Ukraine
became part of Russia during
the tsarist era by voluntarily joining the Soviet Union. After
the disintegration of the Soviet Union, it
became an independent nation. However, the eastern part of Ukraine
has a large Russian population. Armed uprisings are taking place demanding
to be independent territories. The Ukrainian army represses them. Ukraine was fighting against these armies with
the help of Russia.
In 2014, Ukraine withdrew its
troops. An agreement was reached between both parties in Minsk
(Belarus). Ukraine
did not respect the Minsk-1 agreement and invaded these territories again. The
rebels defeated the Ukrainian army. France
and Germany then intervened
and signed the Minsk-2 agreement between Russia,
France, Germany and Ukraine. According to the
agreement, Donetsk and Luchshev became
territories with special rights, but Ukraine is interfering with the
autonomy of these regions with the help of NATO countries. When he decided
to join NATO, the current war began.
Immediately after the Russian
invasion of Ukraine, France, Germany,
and Great Britain imposed
key economic sanctions on Russia. Germany has suspended the Stemry-2 pipeline that
cuts oil and gas from Russia
to Germany. Western
nations say the economic sanctions will apply to defense sectors, banks and
billionaires close to Putin, but they are a heavy burden on the general
public. The West hopes to plunge Russia
into a crisis but Russia has
decided to overcome economic sanctions with the help of China.

The competition between the US, Britain,
France, Germany and the Russian
imperialists has finally led to war. This is causing great distress to the
peoples of the world, especially the peoples of European
countries. Humanity lost peace during the two world wars and the Cold
War. Billions of lives were lost due to war hysteria. War situations
and current tensions are causing serious damage to humanity. Wars are
being waged to overcome a deep financial crisis. Economic, political and
geographical dominance and conflicts end up leading to war. All the
peoples of the world must condemn the war that the imperialists are waging
against humanity.
Russia
must stop the war against Ukraine
and withdraw its troops from the eastern part of Ukraine. The Ukrainian
government must immediately stop the war and implement the Minsk-2
agreement. Ukraine
should not be part of NATO. All zones must be demilitarized.
The Government of India is a member
of the US-led military alliance, the QUAD. Russia, for its part, has created a
missile system with help. On the other hand, India
talks about peace in Ukraine. These
methods do not allow to overcome the war. The people must demand that the
Government of India withdraw from the QUAD.
Although it was clear that war was
going to be inevitable in Ukraine,
the Indian government is not protecting Indian civilians. In the current
circumstances, the Government of India has withdrawn from its embassy the
support of the Indian citizens. Air India has raised fares three
times. The government has announced that people will have to travel to
neighboring countries on their own and will be airlifted from there. This
can be very uncomfortable for people. The measures taken after the start
of the war are not enough. The reckless attitude of the Indian government
must be condemned.
We call on workers, peasants,
students, employees, people of different ethnicities, religious minorities,
peace lovers and the general public to fight against imperialism to stop the
war in Ukraine
immediately and protect the people, the land and the world. .
