Anders Behren Breivik, was known to the authorities.
Breivik was on a security service watch list after he ordered chemicals online from a Polish company in March this year.
His name was passed to the Police Security Service (PST) by Norwegian customs.
It has also emerged that Breivik had been in touch with senior members of the UK
As yet, no-one has openly criticised the police or any other security or emergency services for any perceived shortcomings for preventing or stopping the attacks.

Buchanan, for example, provides not a single fact, just a long ranted list of allegations and attacks.
One might also note that he puts the beginnings of the "war" in the 1960s; other rightwingers put it in the 1930s; others in the 1920s. If one group is correct the others must be wrong.
The rest of the narration is also long on rant and short on facts. They especially are utterly ignorant about Marx. Lord knows there's enough in Marxism to critique but today's right doesn't hit any of them.
