Gaddafi/ عَمَّر القَذَّافِي‎ /‎ killed today

Muammar Gaddafi ( مُعَمَّر القَذَّافِي‎) is dead tonight. For some time leftwing persons and parties in the US have debated as to whether or not Gaddafi had earned the respect he had gotten from so many Africans and other anti-imperialists or whether he just used the country’s wealth to enrich him and his supporters.

Since that time, many have opposed the attempt by the U.S. and NATO to occupy Libya for the imperialist powers. The rebels have relied heavily on NATO bombings for their victory over Col. Gaddafi. However, they have sold their country out to NATO and its imperialist lackeys. Whether by intention or by stupidity, the Libyan rebels have sold out their country and will pay for this action. They have refused to negotiate with Gaddafi and have insisted on his death and the death of his entire family. . After the execution of an innocent man, Troy Davis, nothing would surprise those of us opposed to the US imperialist’s agenda

Supposedly he was found hiding in a drainage canal. They may have executed him on the spot. If they did kill him they did him a favour. Saddam Hussein (صدام حسين عبد المجيد التكريتي) was humiliated and executed after a kangaroo trial. Gaddafi will not have to face such humiliation. He had an ideology and he died protecting it. That is worth something.  -សតិវ អតុ
