The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, yesterday, revoked the
license of Dr. Ann Kristin Neuhaus over allegations that she performed
inadequate mental health exams on young patients she referred for late-term
abortions. The news was announced on KSN
Channel 3.
This has all been a part of a long process of using this board
to go after and punish doctors who have taken part in legal abortions here in Kansas . Last February
Neuhaus was accused by the board for "seriously jeopardizing" the
care of her patients. She provided second opinions to Dr. George Tiller that
were needed to perform some late-term abortions at his Wichita clinic. Tiller was shot dead in 2009
by an anti-abortion activist, Scott Roeder.
According to Michael Caddell, wife of Neuhaus,
from the Fightin’
Cock Flyer;
”The Associated Press article by John Hanna was picked up nationwide, we received notices here at Blue Barn News HQ from as far away as Houston, TX.
Our man in
We agree and are doing our best.
For instance, none of the news stories published or broadcast reported that 3 and as many as 4, licensed medical doctors attending today's KSBHA hearing rescued themselves, and that our letters, including Dr. Michael First's bombshell has been now formally made part of the official record.”
This all started when former Kansas Attorney General Phill
Kline, elected by pro-life forces and lacking any Attorney’s credentials,
went on a witch-hunt to find any evidence of medical mal treatment in order to
shut down all abortion clinics in Kansas. Add to that—Governor
Sam Brownback appointed Rick Macias, an adoption lawyer and anti-abortion
activist who knows nothing about the medical profession, in order to stack the
deck against Neuhaus and anyone like her.
Neuhaus
plans to appeal the ruling.
