From Maoist Revolution;
In the afternoon of today 25 June, the radio station Radio Enlace of the
people´s district of Hortaleza in Madrid (Spain) has broadcasted, in its
programme "A Contratiempo", a half an hour interview with a member of Gran
Marcha Hacia el Comunismo (Long March Towards Communism) on the revolution
in India led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and 1 July
International Day in Support of People´s War in India. The comrade of Gran
Marcha Hacia el Comunismo started the interview with a brief presentation
of the revolutionary struggle launched by the Indian Maoists from Naxalbari
in 1967 until reaching the current People´s War led by the CPI (Maoist). To
the question on how the new people ´s power is developed in the liberated
areas, the comrade stressed the work of the “Janatana Sarkars” (People´s
Governments) which have liberated thousands of adivasis and peasants from
the power of the feudal landlords. The comrade denounced the savage
repression carried out by the reactionary Government of the PM Manmohan
Singh against the Indian people, through, for example, Operation Green
Hunt. In reply to the question of the situation of women in India, the
comrade of Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo pointed out how the Indian women
are incorporating to People´s War as a way to liberating themselves
–mentioning as an example that 45% of the cadres of the People´s Liberation
Guerrilla Army are women- and the work of organizations led by the CPI
(Maoìst) such as KAMS (Adivasis Women Revolutionary Organization). The
comrade of Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo explained the initiative of 1
July International Day in Support of People´s War in India called by the
International Committee in Support of People´s War in India taking place on
the third anniversary of the murder of Comrade Azad of the CPI (Maoìst) and
he ended the interview with the words that “not a single proletarian
internationalist can be indifferent to the development of the revolution in
India”. This interview will be soon available in Internet.
