The Kansas State Board of Education is out to destroy public schools

They may succeed.


It would be hard to find a bigger idiot than Bob Corkins for the job of education commissioner.

Bob Corkins, Kansas’ new education commissioner, and the entire Kansas School Board are an embarrassment to many of us, especially those of us who spent money and time to get a teaching degree. People living in this state only seem to care about their right-wing politics and their right-wing religion. Nothing else matters. Qualifications sure don’t. There seems to be an actual contempt by the majority of the board towards public education in general. And they sure don’t want to spend money educating our youth. As a social studies teacher, I am forced to consider moving to a state that actually values education. I feel sorry for the children who are forcefully brought up here. They will never know what a real education is.



Finally there is proof that man and monkeys are a lot closely related than the Kansas School board thinks.
