Each year I write about the origins of the Christian holiday
we call Christmas. There were other pre-Christian holidays for that time
period. Some early pagans celebrated the Winter Solstice. Some pre-Christians
celebrated Saturnalia. All of those holidays were celebrated in a similar way
of our modern day Christmas. As the below video says, no one really knows when
Jesus Christ was born. It has been almost impossible to figure the exact day of
his birth.[1] It
is fairly obvious that Christians, in the
[1] Since I am not a Christian, I do not believe that Jesus Christ was divine. Some non-Christians I know don’t believe Jesus existed at all. They believe he was a myth from the beginning. Others, as me, believe there was a Jesus, but he was just a man and nothing more. So some of us non-Christians do believe in the existence of a preacher named Jesus Christ. And for that reason we believe there were some records that give us hints about the man Jesus. That includes his birth.
